Assembly & Installation

ProfessionalTrellis Assembly

A garden trellis gives climbing plants something to grab and adds vertical structure to the garden. We assemble wood, metal, or fiberglass trellis panels and anchor them so they don't blow over in the first summer storm.

Simple & stress-free

How it works

1

Unbox & assess

We check whether the trellis is a simple panel or requires frame assembly, and identify the anchor method for the chosen installation surface.

2

Assemble & anchor

We put together the frame or panel, drive the posts to the required depth, and brace any freestanding post with compacted soil or a concrete collar for tall structures.

3

Plumb & finish

We check plumb on both axes and tie any loose horizontal wires to the frame so they don't flap in the wind.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Posts not deep enough — trellis leans after the first strong rain
  • Trellis attached directly to house siding — traps moisture behind the panel
  • Frame joints not locked before plants load the structure
  • Trellis placed in a location that will be in the shade once the trees leaf out

Trellis Assembly — FAQ

Can you mount a trellis panel directly to a brick or wooden fence?

Yes. Wall-mounted trellises attach with standoff clips so air can circulate behind the panel. We use masonry or wood screws depending on the fence material.

Can you install a large freestanding arched trellis gateway?

Yes. Arch trellises need posts set deeper — usually 18 to 24 inches — to resist the leverage of the arch. We adjust the anchor depth accordingly.

Do you attach the climbing plants to the trellis?

We install the trellis and any included tie guides. Tying in the plants themselves is a gardening task we leave to you or a gardener.
