Assembly & Installation

ProfessionalPatio Heater Assembly

Tall propane patio heaters have more components than they appear to and need to be assembled in a specific order with the gas fittings checked before the first use. We put yours together correctly, test the regulator for leaks, and confirm the tip-over safety switch works before we leave.

What you get

What’s included

  • Unbox and sort all heater sections, base, and hardware

  • Connect the regulator hose to the base and check for gas leaks

Simple & stress-free

How it works

1

Assemble the structure

We build from the base up — base, lower pole, tank compartment, upper pole, emitter, and reflector — following the manufacturer's sequence so every connection is accessible.

2

Connect gas & check for leaks

We thread the regulator hose to the base fitting, check every connection with soapy water, and confirm zero bubbling before proceeding to the ignition test.

3

Test ignition & safety cut-off

We light the heater, run it at a low setting for a minute, then tip the unit slightly to confirm the safety cut-off valve kills the gas instantly.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Upper emitter section not fully tightened to the pole — vibrates and loosens over use
  • Reflector dome installed upside down — heat deflects downward instead of outward
  • Gas regulator not fully hand-tightened — minor leak at the fitting
  • Tip-over safety switch not tested — critical safety feature assumed to work

Patio Heater Assembly — FAQ

Do I supply the propane tank?

Yes. You supply the tank. We connect the regulator, leak-test the connection, and do the first ignition test. We do not transport or fill tanks.

Can you assemble an electric patio heater too?

Yes. Electric infrared heaters mount to walls or posts and have their own assembly steps. We handle both gas and electric models.

What if the igniter doesn't work?

Electronic igniters sometimes fail out of the box. We check the battery, confirm the electrode gap, and if the igniter is defective, document it so you can claim a replacement from the retailer.
