Assembly & Installation

ProfessionalDresser Assembly

A dresser has a deceptive number of dowels, cam locks, and thin drawer-bottom panels that are easy to crack if rushed. We take the time to build it right so drawers glide smoothly, faces align evenly, and the whole piece is stable.

Simple & stress-free

How it works

1

Inventory & prep

We sort panels by size and hardware by type before any assembly — catching any shipping damage or missing pieces up front.

2

Build carcass & drawers

We assemble the main box first, ensuring the back panel is fully nailed in for rigidity, then build and install each drawer.

3

Align faces & anchor

We adjust drawer face hardware so every gap is even, then anchor the dresser to a wall stud so it cannot tip forward.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Drawer bottom panel not seated in the groove — collapses under clothes
  • Face panels uneven — visible gaps between drawers that are hard to fix later
  • Back panel stapled only halfway — dresser racks and twists
  • Cam locks stripped because they were overtightened with a power driver

Dresser Assembly — FAQ

Can you install the dresser in a tight bedroom?

Yes. We work in small spaces all the time. It is helpful to have about two feet of clear floor around the work area, but we will make do with what you have.

What if some drawer faces arrive pre-attached?

Some retailers attach them loosely for shipping. We check every face for level and alignment and adjust the mounting screws as needed.

Does the dresser need to be anchored even if it seems stable?

Yes. A dresser that feels solid empty can tip forward with the weight of open drawers and a toddler climbing on them. We always install the anti-tip hardware.
