Assembly & Installation

ProfessionalDartboard Mounting

A dartboard hung from a single hook at the wrong height will shift and bounce on every throw — and the regulation height is very specific. We mount bristle dartboards to studs at exactly the right height and install a backboard to protect the wall from stray darts.

  • Mark the regulation bullseye height on the wall
  • Mount the board bracket securely into the stud
  • Hang the dartboard and confirm it is level and does not swing

Simple & stress-free

How it works

1

Find studs & mark height

We locate the stud closest to the center of the target area and mark the bullseye at the regulation height of 5 feet 8 inches from the floor.

2

Mount the bracket & board

We drill into the stud and attach the mounting bracket, then hang the dartboard and spin it to confirm the number ring is positioned correctly.

3

Install surround & clean up

We mount the rubber or foam surround around the board and clean away any sawdust or debris before the first game.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Board hung from a drywall anchor only — heavy bristle boards pull it loose over time
  • Bullseye mounted at the wrong height — throws are off and players compensate with bad habits
  • Board swings on a loose hook — consistent aim is impossible
  • No surround installed — wall around the board has darts embedded in drywall within a week

Good to know

Dartboard Mounting — FAQ

What is the regulation dartboard height?

The bullseye center should be exactly 5 feet 8 inches from the floor. The throw line for steel-tip darts is 7 feet 9.25 inches from the board face. We mark both at installation.

Can you mount a dartboard on a brick wall?

Yes. Brick walls need masonry anchors and a hammer drill. The install is just as solid as a stud mount.

Do you install a toe line or throwing marker too?

We can mark the toe line on the floor with a measuring tape and apply a removable adhesive strip if you have one on hand.
