Do outdoor sconces need to be rated for wet or damp locations?

Fixtures directly exposed to rain (over an entry, on a porch post) need a wet-location rating. Fixtures under a covered porch overhang need at least a damp-location rating. We confirm the right rating before installing.

Can you replace two sconces at the same time?

Yes — we typically bundle multi-fixture replacements at a single visit. Swapping a pair is usually faster than two separate trips and is a good time to make sure both fixtures match.

My outdoor light flickers — is that a wiring issue or just a bad bulb?

Start with the bulb — outdoor fixtures with Edison-base sockets are prone to vibration-induced loosening. If a new bulb doesn't fix it, the wiring connection inside the box is the next place we look.
