Simple & stress-free

How it works

1

Remove old fixture and check the box

We shut off the breaker, pull the old bar, and verify the wall box is anchored securely before the new fixture goes up.

2

Mount and wire the new fixture

We connect the wiring, position the fixture centered over the mirror, and tighten the mounting screws evenly to keep the bar level.

3

Bulbs, power, and clean up

We screw in the bulbs, restore power, test each socket, and wipe down the fixture and mirror before calling it done.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Old plastic electrical boxes that crack or pull loose from drywall under the fixture's weight
  • Vanity bars wider than the old fixture, showing the outline of the previous paint or primer
  • Wiring that's too short to reach the new fixture's terminals comfortably
  • Frosted globe shades that ship loose and need assembly before hanging

Good to know

Bathroom Vanity Light Install — FAQ

Should vanity lighting go above the mirror or on the sides?

Above is the most common setup and the easiest to wire to an existing box. Side-mounted sconces provide more even facial lighting but require adding two new electrical boxes, which is a bigger job.

Can I use LED bulbs in my vanity fixture?

Yes — we recommend LED A-bulbs or globe LEDs in a warm white (2700–3000K) range for flattering bathroom light. We'll confirm the base type before you buy.

What if the new bar is longer than my old one?

A wider new fixture may expose the old paint line on the wall. We can note this so you can touch up the wall, or we can extend the center-mount slightly to split the difference.
