ProfessionalMotion-Activated Night Lights
A night light that turns on the moment you step into the hallway at 2 a.m. is a simple safety upgrade that pays off every single night. We install plug-in motion night lights in hallways, bathrooms, and stairways — positioned so they actually catch movement and illuminate the path, not just a corner.

How it works
Identify the best outlet locations
We walk each hallway, bathroom, and stair run to find the outlet that will capture motion at the right angle for someone walking through.
Plug in and configure the night lights
We install the units, set the sensitivity dial, and adjust the ambient light threshold so they only activate in darkness, not during the day.
Walk test every unit
We walk through each zone, verify the light turns on reliably, and confirm the time-on setting keeps the light on long enough to navigate safely.
We can help
Problems we fix
- Night lights installed in outlets facing the wrong direction, missing approaching foot traffic
- Sensitivity set too high, triggering on pets during the night
- Outlets at knee height that illuminate the floor but not the path ahead
- Low-lumen bulbs that give just enough light to see the light, not the hallway

Motion-Activated Night Lights — FAQ
Where should motion night lights be installed?
The most useful locations are hallways leading to bathrooms, at the top and bottom of stairs, and inside bathrooms near the door. The outlet should be on the wall you approach as you walk in.
Will night lights bother me if they sense my movement while sleeping?
Most motion night lights have a range adjustment. We set it so they only activate in the hallway or doorway, not from movement inside a closed bedroom.
Can you install hardwired motion lights instead of plug-in?
Yes — hardwired motion step lights or hallway fixtures are also an option and look cleaner. They require connecting to an existing circuit, which we can do in most cases.
