ProfessionalLaminate Floor Planking Repair
Scratched, buckled, or water-damaged laminate planks don't require replacing the whole floor. When the damage is confined to a few boards, we can replace just those planks — disassembling the click-lock system from the edge, swapping the bad pieces, and reassembling without visible seams.

How it works
Map the repair route
We trace the least-disruptive path from the room edge to the damaged plank — sometimes disassembling only a few rows is all it takes.
Remove and replace
We carefully unlock each row of planks without snapping the tongues, swap out the damaged pieces, and snap everything back together.
Reinstall trim
We put back any shoe molding or transition strips that were removed for access, and inspect the repaired area from standing height.
We can help
Problems we fix
- Planks buckled from water left standing too long — water at seams is laminate's worst enemy
- Deep scratches that have cut through the wear layer and are visually obvious from any angle
- Damaged plank in the middle of the room that would seem to require pulling up the whole floor
- Mismatched replacement planks because the original product has been discontinued

Laminate Floor Planking Repair — FAQ
Can you replace a plank in the middle of the room without lifting everything?
For click-lock laminate, we need to work back from the edge. In most rooms this means moving furniture and disassembling several rows, but it's still far less work than a full replacement.
What if my laminate is glued down?
Glued laminate is much harder to disassemble without breaking planks. We can sometimes carefully cut and pry out isolated boards, but it's a more involved repair and we'll assess the feasibility before starting.
How do I find matching replacement planks?
Check the product name and manufacturer on any original boxes you kept. If you don't have spares, we can sometimes find a close match with the product info — older discontinued patterns may require a workaround.
What causes laminate to buckle?
Moisture getting under the floor is the most common cause. Before we repair the planks, we confirm the subfloor is dry so the new material doesn't buckle again.
