Professional Washing Machine Hookup

Moving or replacing a washing machine means connecting water supply lines, a drain hose, and verifying the machine is level and secure. We handle the complete hookup — supply hoses in braided steel, drain into the standpipe or utility sink, and a level check so it doesn't walk across the floor mid-cycle.

What’s included

  • Connect hot and cold supply lines using braided stainless hoses
  • Route and secure drain hose into standpipe or laundry tub
  • Confirm supply valves are operational and accessible
  • Level the machine on all four feet
  • Run a test wash cycle and check all connections for leaks

How it works

1

Connect the water

We attach braided steel hoses to the machine's hot and cold inlets and to the supply valves at the wall, tightening until snug without overtorquing plastic ports.

2

Hook up the drain

We route the drain hose into the standpipe, making sure the hose end sits high enough to prevent backflow and is secured so it can't pop out during a spin cycle.

3

Level and run a test cycle

We adjust the machine legs until it's level front-to-back and side-to-side, then run a short cycle to verify no leaks and no excessive vibration.

Problems we fix

  • Drain hose inserted too far into the standpipe, creating a siphon that drains the tub mid-cycle
  • Hot and cold supply lines crossed, resulting in cold-wash cycles that feel warm
  • Machine that vibrates excessively because the shipping bolts were left in the drum
  • Supply valves so old they won't fully close in an emergency — we flag these for replacement

Washing Machine Hookup — FAQ

Do I need to buy hoses before you arrive?

We recommend braided stainless hoses — we stock them and include them in the service. If you already purchased hoses, we'll use those instead.

What if my laundry area doesn't have a standpipe?

If the drain runs into a utility sink instead of a standpipe, we can route it there. If neither exists, a drain hookup requires a plumbing rough-in that goes beyond a standard machine hookup.

Can you also hook up the dryer at the same visit?

Yes — a dryer hookup (plug and vent connection) is a natural add-on for laundry day. Let us know when booking so we have time for both.
