Wash and prep

We power wash the shed and scrape any loose paint back to a solid base, caulking gaps that would let moisture in.

Prime bare wood

We apply exterior primer to all bare or repaired sections so the topcoat has something to bond to and won't peel prematurely.

Apply finish coats

We roll and brush two coats of exterior paint over the entire shed, working methodically so coverage is consistent and even.

What kind of paint works best on a wooden shed?

A quality exterior latex paint with good mildew resistance works well for most shed siding. For older, rougher wood, an oil-based primer first gives much better adhesion.

Do you paint the interior of the shed too?

Most customers paint only the exterior. If you want the interior done as well — for cleanliness or light reflection — we can include it. Just mention it when you schedule.

Should I paint over metal roofing or leave it?

Metal roofing panels don't need painting, but if you want a color refresh, we can apply a roof coating made for metal. We don't include metal roofs in a standard shed paint job unless specifically requested.
