ProfessionalDishwasher Installation

Dishwasher installation involves three connections — water supply, drain, and power — plus fitting the unit under the counter and securing it so it doesn't tip forward when the door opens. We handle all of it in one visit: pull the old machine, slide in the new one, and confirm it runs clean and drains fully.

How it works

1

Remove the old unit

We shut off the supply valve, disconnect drain and supply lines, disconnect the electrical, and slide the old dishwasher out carefully.

2

Connect the new unit

We attach the supply line, run the drain hose to the sink drain or disposal with a proper high-loop, connect the power, and slide the dishwasher into the opening.

3

Secure and test

We fasten the mounting tabs to the underside of the counter, run a wash cycle, and check under the sink for any drips at the supply or drain connections.

We can help

Problems we fix

  • Drain hose routed without a high-loop, allowing water to back-siphon into the dishwasher
  • Supply line kinked under the dishwasher because there wasn't enough slack
  • New dishwasher that doesn't fit the same opening due to slightly different dimensions
  • Old wiring that's not long enough to reach the new unit's junction box

Dishwasher Installation — FAQ

Do you haul away the old dishwasher?

Yes. We disconnect, remove, and take the old unit away so you're not stuck handling disposal.

What if my dishwasher needs to be hardwired rather than plug-in?

Many dishwashers can go either way depending on the model and the existing wiring. Hardwired connections are within our scope as long as the wiring is already in place. Adding a new circuit requires an electrician.

Is an air gap required?

Some local plumbing codes require an air gap device on the countertop; others allow a high-loop drain hose as the alternative. We install whichever method is required or preferred.
