ProfessionalCloset Rod Installation
A closet rod that sags in the middle or pulls out of the wall when loaded with winter coats is frustrating to deal with every morning. We mount a heavy-duty rod that's properly supported at the ends and at a center bracket, so it handles a full load of hanging clothes without flex or failure.

How it works
Measure and mark
We set the height based on what you're hanging — long dresses, suits, and everyday items all need different clearance.
Mount the flanges and bracket
We locate studs or use load-rated anchors, mount the end flanges, and add a center support if the span warrants it.
Install and load-test
We drop the rod in, hang some weight on it, and confirm there's no flex or movement before calling it done.
We can help
Problems we fix
- Rod that sags in the middle because the span is too long without a center support
- End flanges installed in drywall only that pull out under a full load
- Rod mounted too low so long garments drag on the floor
- Double closet rod where the lower bar was set too close to the shelf below it

Closet Rod Installation — FAQ
How far from the wall should the rod be?
Standard clothes rods are 12 inches from the wall — enough to prevent hangers from rubbing the back wall but not so far that the flanges need a very long projection.
What diameter rod do you use?
We use 1-3/8 inch diameter steel or heavy-duty chrome rods for residential closets. They're stiffer than the lighter 1-inch rods and hold more weight.
Can you install a double rod setup?
Yes. Double rods effectively double your hanging capacity for shirts and jackets. We'll set the correct height spacing based on what you plan to hang.
What if there are no studs where I need the rod?
We use heavy-duty toggle anchors rated for the load. We'll tell you the realistic weight limit so you don't overload the setup.
