Simple & stress-free
How it works
Sort dents from gouges
Shallow dings that didn't break the paper face are treated differently from gouges that did — the second kind needs reinforcing before it's filled.
Fill, reinforce, or straighten
Each mark is repaired on its own terms: compound for dents, a small patch for gouges, and straightening or new corner bead for a dented corner.
Touch up or repaint
The repaired spots are sanded smooth and matched to the existing paint. If marks are scattered across a wide area, repainting the whole wall usually looks more even than several separate touch-ups.

Furniture Scuff Wall Repair in Charleston — FAQ
Do all these marks need a full patch, or just filler?
It depends on the mark. Shallow dents that didn't break the paper face just need compound and sanding. Anything that tore through the paper needs a bit of reinforcement first so the fill has something to hold onto.
Can you match my paint exactly?
We match as closely as we can, but paint shifts in color and sheen over time, so an exact match isn't always possible. For scuffs scattered across a wall, repainting the whole wall usually gives the most even result.
What about a dented corner instead of a flat wall?
A corner that's only slightly bent can often be straightened. One that's kinked, split, or cracked usually needs the corner bead replaced along with the drywall around it.
Do you need the room cleared out to do this kind of repair?
Having the wall clear makes for a cleaner repair, but if space is tight during a move, let us know and we'll work around what's there.
Local context
Furniture Scuff Wall Repair across Charleston
Charleston's humid subtropical climate, salt air and active storm season are tough on homes — swollen doors, rusting hardware, mildew-prone caulk and storm-loosened trim are all common. Downtown's historic houses add original plaster walls and tight, detailed millwork, while West Ashley and the islands bring newer builds with their own quirks. Our pros are comfortable with both.
