What do you fill the holes with?
Lightweight spackle for most holes up to about half an inch across. Larger holes may need setting-type compound applied in layers so there's no shrinkage cracking.
Can I still put a new anchor in the same spot after patching?
Yes, but you'll need to use a fresh anchor in a slightly offset position since the patching compound isn't as strong as the original wall. We can mark the stud locations if you need a strong point for your next installation.
