ProfessionalDeck Power Washing & Sealing

How it works

1

Wash & treat

We power wash the full deck surface and apply brightener to any sections with mold or heavy weathering.

2

Dry & assess

We allow drying time — typically 24 to 48 hours — and check that the wood is ready to absorb sealant properly.

3

Seal & finish

We apply the sealant by brush or roller for even penetration, finishing all board faces and cut ends.

Good to know

Deck Power Washing & Sealing — FAQ

Can the washing and sealing happen the same day?

Not typically — wood needs 24 to 48 hours of drying time after washing before sealant will absorb properly. We usually schedule washing and sealing on back-to-back days or across two visits.

What type of sealant do you use?

We work with penetrating oil-based and water-based sealants. The right choice depends on your deck species and whether you want a clear or tinted finish.

How long will the sealant last?

Most quality sealants hold up well for two to four years under normal use, with exposed horizontal surfaces wearing faster than vertical railings.

My deck has old stain peeling off — can you still seal it?

We need to strip the old peeling finish first before new sealant can penetrate. Stripping adds time and cost but is necessary for a result that lasts.
